The UJI Sports Service organizes the first inter-university online chess tournament #Yomequedoencasa

As a result of the excellent functioning of the different chess chess tournaments UJI-Yomequedoencasa, the Sports Service of the UJI organizes next Thursday, May 7, starting at 5:00 p.m., the first inter-university chess tournament for all the Valencian universities that they are part of the Autonomous University Sports Championship (CADU).

Furthermore, this initiative has been motivated by the state of alarm established since March 13 by the Spanish government and which has resulted in the suspension of all the individual CADU university championships scheduled for this academic year.

All the Valencian universities that form the Autonomous University Sports Championship (CADU) will be able to participate in the championship. The number of participants will be unlimited and each of the universities through its Sports Service will be able to enroll all the members of its university community who are interested (PAS, PDI and students).

The competition system will be the Masnou System and is scheduled to last approximately 2 hours.

This is a new initiative of the Sports Service to promote sports and inter-university competition and encourage Valencian university communities in the confinement caused by COVID-19.

The tournament will be held on the website http://www.lichess.org. You have to enter and register in advance on said website, it is very simple and completely free, just ask for an email to do so. On the day of the tournament you must enter the website a few minutes in advance through the link and password that the organization will provide to those registered.
